A Community That Feels Like Home
At Woodcrest, we adopt a person-centered approach that shapes the physical environment, organizational structure and interpersonal relationships in ways that create an atmosphere of genuine home life, while providing seniors with clear opportunities to direct their own lives. Residents get up when they want, bathe how and when they want, go to bed when they want, eat when and what they want and decide how to spend their day.
Our individual-focused approach results in happier and more satisfied residents and families. Both residents and staff are more engaged, helping to reduce cognitive decline and retain staff.
Assisted Living focuses on treating the resident as a person. Their needs and preferences are more important than what is easiest or most efficient for our caregivers. Their voices are heard, and their desires are honored. From their preferences in décor and cozy spaces you would find in any home, such as the patio, front porch, fireplace and gazebo, to special friendships, the residents can enjoy what they like.
Independent Living residents are served by consistent staff which encourages real friendships and allows staff to gain deeper knowledge of each resident as an individual. Resident activities are often spontaneous and full of new experiences. The residents recently experienced the Sweet Breeze River Boat Tour and Sweetwater Sound in Fort Wayne, Ind. They often attend special concerts, including outings to see the Fort Wayne Philharmonic, and enjoy visits to many special restaurants around the surrounding area.
Adams Woodcrest values our residents’ overall health, mind, body and spirit. Our comforting approach focuses on life enriching activities for each resident’s situation. What sets us apart is that we take care of your family like they’re our family. We plan activities your loved one enjoys and individualize for each resident. It’s a simple philosophy, but it makes a world of difference in how your loved one is cared for and how we plan each day.
Memory Care Household
Memory boxes are outside each resident’s room to help residents recognize and trigger familiarity. Tailored life enrichment opportunities are also always part of the day, always encouraging our residents with memory loss opportunities to flourish and grow. Adams Woodcrest offers memory care support around the clock for those with cognitive needs, providing peach of mind to residents and families.
Adams Woodcrest is a quiet and caring community, surrounded by woods, ponds and fields. Learn more about the property by viewing the Adams Woodcrest campus map.
